Internship Conditions
Tasks
To integrate in a research and development unit
Internship Research Topic
Scania encourages suggestions but to give ideas is currently especially interested in the following areas:
1 Production management
2 Composite materials in heavy vehicles
3 Software Development
4 Applied Mathematics
Specifically we currently suggest 2 internships with Assoc. Prof. Magnus BURMAN as supervisor in collaboration with Scania to work on a design concept for composite materials in trucks.

Burman is running a project with Scania for a totally new concept of light weight trucks to enable battery powered electric drive.

We suggest that students do at least a 1-2 month internship.
Place of Internship
Main plant in Södertälje, 30 km south of Stockholm
Level Required
Mainly master students and last year bachelors' but possibly also PhD
Field of Competence
Basic skills in science and engineering is demanded
Period of Internship
The length of stay is agreed case by case.

Students are responsible to obtain the necessary visa before coming to Sweden.

Two applicatons per year, deadline April 1 and October 1
Application Procedure
The students should write a one-page letter explaining the topic of interest with a short personal background and a Transcript of Records in English covering the university studies this far.

The letter should be sent to the contact person for Deans Forum at KTH, Mr. Torkel Werge, werge@kth.se .
