私たち東京大学大学院工学研究科は、1886年に世界初の工学大学としての活動を始めて以来、日本を、そして世界を牽引していく大学の一つとして工学の教育と研究に力を尽くしてきています。そして今、社会の抱える課題は複雑化し、だからこそさらに多様な分野でのイノベーションが求められています。工学人材としても「社会にとっての真の価値の創出」との命題をより身近に感じ、そして対応する必要性が高まっているのは言うまでもありません。
本プロジェクトは、このような今日の世界において、その多様なプレイヤーと共に、自らも国際環境の中で伍して明日の世界を主導していくような国際社会実装力の育成体制を、工学系研究科の中に整えるための活動です。対象は、工学の広大な学問体系の中で高い基礎力と専門力を身につけた学生です。この工学専門教育を支えるために付加的に提供される能力開発教育であり、「工学教育を見ているのではなく、オープンイノベーションや社会共創教育を対象としている」とも言えると思っています。
このプロジェクトにより、既に提供している数多くの教育内容を｢国際社会実装力｣の視点で整理し直すことで、より効果的な工学教育の提供、そして世界の先端を担うイノバティブな工学研究者や工学の実践者の育成を目指します。
我々は、工学の広範な領域の横断的組織として柔軟性を持った活動を進めている国際工学教育推進機構の一端を担う2020年度までのプロジェクトとして、教育体系やそれを支える組織体制、様々な連携関係、といったさらなる未来につながる活動を進めて参ります。
The School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo was established in 1886 as the first engineering university in the world. Since then, we have put our energy into engineering research and education, as a leading university in Japan and in the world. Today, the more our society is confusingly interconnected, the more society requires innovations, and the more engineering knowledge should contribute to innovation creation in our society.
This project helps to prepare our School of Engineering for development to build competencies to address today's world, with a variety of stake-holders into tomorrow's world. Our students are already taught advanced knowledge in the discipline of engineering with our established engineering education system. To improve upon that success, we aim to enact additional supportive competency development toward social innovation. In other words, we are not focusing on specific engineering education, but rather at education for open innovation and co-creation.
We expect to offer more society-oriented engineering education, and to develop more innovative researchers and practitioners in the engineering field. This project will re-align existing relevant topics and courses with a focus on "innovation with the society".
This project is being carried out as a part of the Institute of Innovation in International Engineering Education (IIIEE), which is responsible for advancement of engineering education with its cross-sectoral and flexible presence in the School of Engineering. In this 5-year project, a new path toward the future, with education, supportive organizational system and other collaborative relationship will be made.
プロジェクト概要

本プロジェクトは、本学工学系研究科の国際工学教育推進機構（IIIEE）において実施している、2016～2020年度までの五カ年プロジェクトです。
IIIEEのセンターの一つである国際化教育センターが主担当として実施していますが、本プロジェクトが対象としているのは、国際的対応力も含め、変容・進化する世界の中で社会の多様なプレイヤーと共に実践的に価値を共創し、自らも国際環境の中で伍していく能力全般です。この能力を工学の専門能力を支える「国際社会実装力」と位置付け、その積極的な育成に向けた体制検討とその基本整備を行います。
既にIIIEEにおいては、語学教育、工学教育の基盤強化、及び社会との接点を生かした教育展開などを行ってきており、本プロジェクトにおいてその全体を俯瞰的に体系化し、より効果的な提供を、そして学生や学外からもわかりやすい教育への姿勢を示す事を目指します。

The project is based at IIIEE, and will continue for 5 years from FY2016 to FY2020. Even though the Center for Global Education is responsible for this project, global transferability is just a part of the project’s scope. We looked at wider area, including all capabilities to work together with multi-national players, to create practical value for society, and to be able to lead in a globalized world. With this project scope, we are working on required organizational, operational and educational preparations for structure and contents.
At the IIIEE, many new educational activities such English language courses, engineering fundamentals, and some society-oriented projects have been established. This project will organize these relevant activities into a comprehensive framework, so as to most effectively offer these education to students, and to make all of these works more visible to the world.

本プロジェクトは、工学系研究科国際工学教育推進機構（IIIEE）の中でも、教職員・学生への国際リーダー力強化、英語教育や講義の英語化など国際化環境を組織的整備を担う国際化教育センターが主担当となり、IIIEE内の下記センターとも密な協力の下で実施しています。
Center for Global Education at Institute of Innovation in International Engineering Education (IIIEE) has been leading this project, together with other centers of IIIEE below;
学生や研究室のものづくりプロジェクトを、各種機器や設備、経験ある職員のサポート、さらにはその基盤づくりのプロジェクト科目やセミナー提供などで支援
Center promoting new product development by student projects and research labs with support from manufacturing equipments and facilities, experienced technical specialists, as well as relevant project-oriented classes and seminars.
工学教育基盤強化推進センター

高度人材育成のための工学教育基盤強化を担う。
In charge of basic research and educational material development on engineering education.
留学や国際協定などを含めた国際交流全般を支援すると共に、「国際社会の中で実践力を発揮する人材育成」に向けた活動を進めています。
